YEOCHUN NCC SM Debottleneck Project
The YEOCHUN NCC SM Debottleneck Project site achieved contractual completion on August 31. The site achieved mechanical completion on June 24, 20 months after construction started in October 2018, in line with the date specified in the contract.
This project involved increasing the SM (styrene monomer) output from 272,000MTA/8,000hr to 330,000MTA/8,000hr by replacing and adding major facilities of EB (ethylbenzene) and SM units including the replacement of the smart reactor with a conventional reactor in the SM production process at YEOCHUN NCC Yeosu Plant 1 and also sought to cut production cost.
