The Ulsan-Pohang subway construction section 2 site held a Songjecong Tunnel penetration ceremony on November 23. The 10.22km long Songjeong Tunnel is the longest tunnel among the 25 tunnels in the entire construction section. The site has penetrated the tunnel without any accidents for 8 years since construction commenced in 2011.

A high level of caution has been demanded due to ground subsidence, since the fault zone and valley are located above the tunnel section. The Ulsan-Pohang double track subway line is a project that involves constructing a 76.5km double track subway line connecting Ulsan, Gyeongju, and Pohang. Daelim is constructing a 12.171km railway subbase in Section 2. The project started in April 2009, and the current construction rate is 80%.
