Daelim Wins Project to Rebuild Wharf No. 1 of Pohang New Port
Daelim won on Feb. 22, 2013 a project to rebuild Wharf No. 1 of Pohang New Port. Ordered by POSCO via lowest bidding, this project seeks to improve the loading and unloading capabilities of the wharf by enabling the berthing of large ships at Wharf No. 1 of Pohang New Port.Daelim will build an extension of the quay wall with length of 400m so that 300,000-ton class ships can berth and will tear down the quay wall of berth 1 to accommodate the existing 100,000-ton class ship at the same time. The contract amount is KRW 41 billion (exclusive of VAT), and the construction period is 27 months from the construction commencement date.
