Daelim Completes Installation of GTG Unit No. 10
at the Construction Site of Saudi Arabia Shoaiba II Power Plant
Daelim completed on Jan. 10 the installation of GTG (Gas Turbine Generator) Unit No. 10 at the Daelim Plant Business Division’s Saudi Arabia Shoaiba II Power Plant construction site. With the first GTG installed on Sept. 3, 2012, all 10 GTG units have been successfully installed at the Shoaiba II Power Plant in about four months.
A combined cycle power plant with capacity of 1200 MW, the Shoaiba II Power Plant is a project ordered by Saudi Electricity Company to address the power shortage problem in the western area of Saudi Arabia. The power plant is set to be completed in Sept. 2014. This project is expected to be a major achievement for Daelim, through which the company can secure competitiveness in winning orders in the field of overseas power plants in the future.
