Daelim Enters into Agreement to Build Bukpyeong Thermal Power Plant Units 1 and 2
Daelim entered into an agreement to build Bukpyeong Thermal Power Plant units 1 and 2 ordered by STX Electric Power at Seoul STX Namsan Tower on Sept. 24, 2012. The total construction amount is KRW 1.4008 trillion (exclusive of VAT), with contract amount of KRW 476.3 billion (34%) for the Daelim’s Construction Business Division.
This project involves building a 1,190MW coal-fired power plant (595MW x2 units) in Donghae City, Gangwon Province. The client, STX Electric Power, is a joint venture invested in by STX Energy (51%) and Korea East-West Power (49%). Daelim will implement the project together with STX Heavy Industries and STX Construction in EPC mode. The project is slated to be completed on April 30, 2016.
