Won New Orders to Build a Large-sized Petrochemical Complex in Saudi Arabia

In addition to a new contract for a large-sized ethanol and naphtha cracking facilities (Ras Tanura Integrated Project - Mixed Feed Cracker) in Saudi Arabia on July 26, Daelim successfully made an EPC contract to additionally build four RTIP Isocyanates plants in the country on September 15.

Daelim said that total volume of these five projects - the mixed feed cracker package to build ethanol and naphtha cracking facilities and four packages to produce petrochemical products such as TDI, PMDI, DNT and MNB - is estimated at KRW2 trillion.

Currently, Daelim is conducting major projects in Saudi Arabia such as Saudi Aramco’s JERP Package 2B, SABIC’s LDPE, Ma’aden/Sahara’s CA-EDC as well as the gasoline package and hydrocracker package projects for Saudi Aramco’s export-use oil refinery facilities in Yanbu. These projects are encouraging Daelim to acknowledge unrivaled technological competitiveness from local major state-run companies and to lead the plant construction market in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.

In particular, as Daelim beat rivals at home and abroad in this competition to win the mega EPC lump sum turnkey project, the company expects to consolidate its dominance in the global plant construction market and receive stable and additional new orders in the Middle East.
