joined by the employees and executives of DL E&C and DL Construction on January 13.
- A consultative organization to help meet safety and health goals … by establishing a meticulous safety and health system.
- The companies plan to improve the safety and health levels through the sharing of safety diagnosis results and cross-checking.
- DL E&C announced on the 22nd that it jointly established and started the operation of the ‘DL Safety and Health Consultative Organization’ (‘Organization’) with its 100% subsidiary, DL Construction, in an effort to strengthen safety management.
DL E&C and DL Construction established the Organization to meet its safety and health goal of ‘zero serious disasters.’ Mr. Gilpo Lee (CSO) of DL E&C and Mr. Seonghoon Lim (CSO) of DL Construction will head the Organization as Co-Chairs.
The two companies agreed to establish an air-tight safety and health system, ranging from establishing safety and health policies and goals to implementing safety systems, through the operation of this Organization. Their vision includes improving the work process and roles (R&R) between organizations after comparing the safety standards such as safety manuals and using it as the basis for optimized safety activities.
Especially the two companies plan to hold regular meetings with the Organization to share the results of the safety diagnoses of the two companies and cross-check them to identify possible lessons and needs for improvements. These activities are expected to enhance the safety level by a notch, improve work efficiency, and secure the best quality at the same time.
The Organization will engage in sustainable and effective improvement activities related to safety as a task force for three months starting this month. This will be followed by a switch to a regular program after optimizing the operating strategy for the organization.
A source within DL E&C said, “With the close cooperation and meticulous cross-checking between the safety organizations of the two companies, we aim to build this Organization to secure the highest level of security,” adding, “When it comes to safety, we will not stop at anything until we realize the goal of zero serious disasters, with no exceptions whatsoever.”
