DL E&C announced the launch of GSH Campaign on June 05 to celebrate Environment Day. GSH Campaign, which means ‘growing saplings at home’, is an afforestation activity that has been carried out by the Noeul Park Citizens’ Group since 2019. It’s a program to grow acorn seeds into saplings over 100 days, and then plant them in Noeul Park, Mapo-gu, Seoul. Participants are contributing to help Noeul Park on Nanjido, which was once a landfill site, be restored to a healthier forest, and DL E&C is also participating as part of ESG management that cares about the environment.

DL E&C launched the campaign in February after accepting applications from 50 employees who wanted to participate. The acorn pots, which employees carefully sprouted and grew at their office and home for more than 100 days, will be delivered to the Noeul Park Citizens’ Group at the end of June. The saplings will grow healthier in the tree growth area for the next 2 to 3 years, and then be planted in Noeul Park to create a happy forest for animals. DL E&C plans to carry out GSH Campaign in the 2nd half of the year, and employees will also visit Noeul Park to conduct a volunteer tree-planting work in October.

An official from DL E&C said, “We launched GSH Campaign to put our social contribution for environmental protection into practice in which all employees can easily participate. In addition to our ongoing Cleanliness Sharing volunteer work and Zero Paper Cup Campaign, we will actively introduce campaigns that enhance environmental sustainability, and expand ESG management.
