DL E&C Launches D. View, a Moving-in Service that Evolved into Virtual Reality

The user manuals of various electronics installed inside
households can be checked through D. View.

DL E&C disclosed that it launched apartment moving-in support service D. View on July 11. D. View shows the inside of a construction-completed apartment unit with a 360-degree VR platform; thus offering diverse kinds of information and service by moving-in phase to customers. The company is providing the D. View service selectively from apartments where residents are slated to move  in June this year, and it plans to expand the application scope.

D. View is made for customers scheduled to move in to look around their house anytime, anywhere and easily find diverse kinds of information. It embodies the actual inside of a construction-completed apartment by type in VR by recording with a 360-degree camera. Customers can conveniently use various functions and services from prior inspection to relocation and to post-moving-in phase.

Moving in-scheduled customers can look around the same household as their house anytime, anywhere through D. View once their prior inspection phase arrives. Detailed information on lighting and socket locations that were difficult to identify from the floor plans can be checked. In addition, the inside closets or pantries can be viewed. Through measurement mode, the length, height, and depth of desired places can be measured, which can be effectively used for interior items or furniture placement. D. View can also be used for Jeonse (rental with lump sum deposit) or sales transactions.

Customers receive various kinds of information on the day of moving in and after moving in. Information on the parts where damage mainly occurs and methods of preventing such damage are provided. They are also guided on how to clean and maintain various finishing materials such as wall papering, floor, furniture, and kitchen sink and shower system. In addition, customers can easily find information on their house because each electronic product’s model name and user manual including wall pad installed inside, built-in electronics, and lighting are linked.

“Customers who experienced D. View are very satisfied with the innovative service using the 360-degree VR platform. We will expand D. View as our own differentiated moving-in support service by improving the necessary service and information in each phase from prior inspection to post-moving in and reinforcing D. View,” a source of DL E&C said.
