Daelim was awarded an appreciation plaque for its contribution to the completion of Units 9 and 10 during the completion ceremony. Daelim supplied 2 boilers, the core facility of thermal power plants, through a consortium with Hitachi and took charge of civil engineering works including main building construction together with Samho. As additional construction, ash pond expansion and supplementary construction are underway; all constructions are slated to be completed in December 2019.

Taean Thermal Power Plant Units 9 and 10

Taean Thermal Power Plant Units 9 and 10 with power generation capacity of 1,050MW each are the largest thermal power plant in Korea. By enhancing power generation efficiency by about 1.5%, effects of reducing 900,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions and saving KRW 30 billion on fuel expenses are generated. The thermal power plant is believed to have enhanced technological prowess by one notch.
