Poseung Biomass Collective Energy Site Achieves Initial Firing for the First Time

The progress is monitored after the initial firing.

The Poseung Biomass Collective Energy site achieved initial firing, one of the major processes, for the first time on September 12. The first initial firing of LNG involves burning LNG fuel and conducting a test run of boilers.

With this, the site can enter the process for wood initial firing, which can be the next milestone for the site. At the site, executives and employees including Poseung Green Power general manager Jong-oh Kim and Daelim Plant Business Division managing director Jae-gyo Kim visited the site and celebrated the first initial firing.

The project involves building a renewable energy power plant producing heat and electricity in the Poseung Industrial Complex located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. Daelim Energy participates in the project as the largest shareholder after establishing Poseung Green Power in charge of the project. Currently, the process rate is 88%; construction kicked off in April 2016, and commercial operations are scheduled for March 2018.
