Pyeongchang Sliding Center Acquires IBSF and FIL International Track Certifications 
 

Sliding Center

The Pyeoncghang Olympics Sliding Center acquired final international certifications for track from IBSF (International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation) and FIL (International Luge Federation) on August 31. The Olympics Sliding Center is the arena where three types of sled games (Luge, Bobsleigh, and Skeleton) will be held in the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. 

 
Awarding of IBSF certificate

The Sliding Center is the sled game track built for the first time in Korea and the 19th one in the world. The total length of the track is 2018m to commemorate the year the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics is held. The difference in height of the start and finish lines is 120m, the largest among the existing Olympic sliding tracks in the world.
