Daelim Signs Hanbit Units 5 and 6 Steam Generators Replacement Contract
Replacing a steam generator at Hanwool Nuclear Power Plant
Daelim signed the Hanbit Units 5 and 6 Steam Generators Replacement contract on April 11. The project involves replacing 4 worn-out steam generators of the Hanbit Nuclear Power Plant located in Yeonggwang-gun, Jeonnam Province and constructing a steam generator storage facility. The contract amount is KRW 69.8 billion (VAT inclusive), and Daelim will exclusively perform the construction. Daelim’s experience in implementing the project of replacing units 1-4 steam generators at Hanwool Nuclear Power Plant and identification of cost saving factors have been highly recognized. For this reason, Daelim beat the Hyundai-Daewoo consortium and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction for the contract. Construction will run for 43 months from April 2017 to October 2020.
