Daelim signed an MOU for the smart home IoT solution business with KT
Daelim signed an MOU for the smart home IoT solution business with KT on March 24 at KT’s head office. Daelim plans to apply KT’s voice-recognition artificial intelligence (AI) technology to its own smart home network through such cooperation.
Daelim has applied the smart home technology for controlling household lighting, heating and cooling, ventilation/air purification, gas, and access security by linking the wall pad within a household and smartphone. Daelim actually plans to implement the voice-recognition smart home by combining with GiGa Genie, the AI speaker released by KT early this year. If the voice-recognition smart home is adopted, the following scenes will be realized: the household lighting is turned off, the boiler shifts to going out mode, and an elevator is automatically called when one says, “I will go out.” Services such as music playback, search, order, and scheduling are also linked.
“We promoted technology collaboration in order to combine the existing smart home technology with voice-recognition IoT technology. We plan to collaborate actively with other industrial fields to create a more convenient residential space,” Daelim Product Development Managing Director Kim Sang-yun said.
