The groundbreaking ceremony of the world’s longest suspension bridge, Canakkale Bridge, was held on March 18 at the construction site in Turkey. Local partner companies and construction officials as well as Daelim Vice President Lee Hae-wook, Turkish Prime Minister, Korea’s Land, Infrastructure, and Transport Minister, and SK E&C Global Biz CEO attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Daelim participated in the bid through a consortium with SK E&C and two Turkish local companies. The total contract amount is KRW 3.2 trillion. The four companies each had a 25% stake. They signed a formal execution agreement in Turkey on March 16 by establishing a business performing corporation. After the corporation manages construction and operations for 16 years and 2 months, they plan to turn over the bridge to the Turkish government.
