Daelim won a railway bed construction project in Jungang Line’s section 3 of the Dodam-Yeongcheon double-track railway ordered by the Korea Rail Network Authority on May 20, 1015. The contract amount is KRW 147.7 billion (excluding VAT); Daelim’s stake is 80% (KRW 118.1 billion), and Samho’s stake is 20% (KRW 29.5 billion). Construction duration is 48 months from the construction commencement date.

This project has been planned to reorganize the 148.1km section from Dodam to Yeongcheon, which is currently a single-track railway in the Jungang Line section (Cheongryangri~Gyeongju). Section 3 is a project to construct a 10.5km railway bed from Punggi-eup to Yeongju-dong in Yeongju City, Gyeongbuk. This construction site includes 9 bridges (1,814m), 6 tunnels (1,716m), and 1 station.
The project is implemented to induce balanced development in the Jungang Line inland area of Gyeongbuk and improve the speed of the Jungang Line railway. When the project is completed, the designed rail speed is expected to improve drastically to 250km/h.
