Daelim Receives Order of West Coast Line Double Track Railway Construction

Daelim received an order for the railway bed construction of section 8 for the West Coast Line double track railway (Hongseong~Songsan) ordered by the Korea Rail Network Authority by forming a consortium with Samho on April 15, 2015. The contract amount is KRW 115.3 billion (including VAT), and Daelim and Samho will have 80% (KRW 92.2 billion) and 20% stake (KRW 23.1 billion), respectively. Construction duration is 50 months from the date of construction commencement.

The West Coast Line (Hongseong~Songsan) Double Track Railway project is a large-scale SOC project with total length of 90.1km, and about KRW 3.8 trillion will be injected. Daelim is already constructing section 5 at present. The section 8 project involves constructing a railway bed spanning 8.48km from Cheongbuk-myeon, Pyeongtaek City, Gyeonggi Province to Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. The section includes 6 bridges (2,520m) and 2 tunnels (3,049m).
