Daelim Bags the Hanam Subway Line Double Track Construction Contract
Daelim bagged a contract to build Section 4 of the Hanam Subway line (Sangil-Mt. Geomdan) double tracks on January 9, 2015. Ordered by Gyeonggi Province, the project is worth KRW 116.2 billion (excluding VAT), with Daelim Civil Engineering Business Division having a 42% (KRW 48.8 billion) stake.
As the first railway construction project in Gyeonggi Province, the project was implemented to improve traffic jam in the Misa, Sangsan, and Shinjang districts, which are large-scale housing site development areas in Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province. Section 4 constructed by Daelim includes a 1.35km urban railway connecting Deukpung-dong and Shinjang-dong, Hanam City, and 1 station. Construction period is 55 months from the construction commencement day.
