Daelim Bags Contract to Build Railway Bed Construction
between East Coast Line’s Pohang and Samcheok
 
Daelim bagged the contract to build Pohang~Samcheok section no. 10 for the East Coast Line on December 31, 2014. Ordered by the Korea Rail Network Authority through the Comprehensive Audit System, the KRW 103.1 billion (excluding VAT) project will be implemented by Daelim Civil Engineering Business Division. 

East Coast Line’s Pohang~Samcheok railway construction project is a large-scale construction with total length of 170km and was ordered by dividing the project into 17 sections. The project, which is expected to boost tourism demand for Gangreung~Taebaek Region and Gyeongbuk Region, is implemented to build the railway network for Dongnam Region~East Coast Region.

Section No. 10 to be constructed by Daelim is a railway bed spanning 10.84km from Giseong-myeon to Wonman-myeon, Gyeongbuk. The section includes 4 tunnels (7,243m), 2 bridges (660m), and 1 station. Its construction is expected to take 48 months.
