The Busan New Port Container 2-5 phase construction site won the civil engineering sector grand prize in the 22nd Safety Management Awards co-hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Employment and Maeil Business Newspaper. Seok Jae-duk, executive director representing Daelim’s Civil Engineering Business Division, attended the award ceremony held at the auditorium of Maeil Business Newspaper Media Center in Jung-gu, Seoul on December 15, 2014.
For the Safety Management Awards, worksites that become models for others in terms of industrial accident prevention activities across all industries as well as the construction industry are selected and awarded. The Busan New Port Container 2-5phase site was rated excellent in terms of safety facilities considering the harbor construction’s special attributes and autonomous safety activities conducted together by labor and management.
Daelim was recognized for its safety management capabilities, which are unparalleled in the construction industry. It plans to spearhead industrial accident prevention activities.
