Daelim’s technologies to produce metallocene bimodal PERT II polyethylene and polybutene were recognized during the awards ceremony of the 6th Chemical Industry Day held at the 63 Building Convention Center on October 31, 2014. Daelim Department Managers Sung Gi-seol and Sohn Byung-gil won the Trade, Industry, and Energy Minister’s commendation for their contribution to the development of polybutene process improvement and metallocene-based polyethylene product development, respectively. The awards ceremony seeks to recognize the hard work of people who contributed to the development of the chemical industry each year.

On the other hand, at the awards ceremony of the 2014 IR52 Jang Young Shil Awards held in the Maekyung Media Center on November 5, 2014, Daelim’s metallocene bimodal PERT II polyethylene won the Science, ICT, and Future Planning Minister’s Prize. The product was successfully commercialized in 2013 after Daelim commenced development in 2009. The win can be attributed to Daelim’s innovative process improvement and excellent product quality compared to competitors’ products.
