Access Road to Daegu Technopolis Opened

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is held in commemoration of the opening of the access road to Technopolis, with the Daegu Mayor and Daegu City Council Chairman in attendance.The access road to Daegu Technopolis, constructed by Daelim and Korea Development Corporation, was opened on October 27, 2014. The access road is a four-lane motorway 12.97km long connecting the Daegu Technopolis industrial complex and the fourth beltway of Dageok-dong, Dalseo-gu. The project was commenced in June 2010 and was completed in 4 years and 6 months. Thanks to the opening of the access road to the Technopolis, it takes only 10 minutes to travel the section, which used to take 50 minutes. Therefore, about KRW 30 billion worth of benefit is expected to be generated.
Daelim constructed the 5.72km long section 1 including 2 tunnels and 4 bridges. Korea Development Corporation constructed the 2.83km long section 3 including 2 bridges, 1 underground road, and 2 tunnels. Although the project was a difficult one, passing through mountainous areas including mostly tunnels and bridges, the project was completed without any safety accident.
