Metallocene Bimodal PERT Type II Polyethylene Product Wins the IR52 Jang Young-Shil Award Daelim was selected as the week 39 winner of the 2014 IR52 Jang Young-Shil Award thanks to the excellence of its Metallocene Bimodal PERT Type II Polyethylene product. Sponsored by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning and Korea Industrial Technology Association, The award is a system of rewarding new technology development that contributes to domestic industrial development.
Developed by Daelim after about 5 years of research, this award-winning product has upgraded the existing metallocene catalyst technology by one notch. As the product mainly used for water supply pipe and various molded goods, PERT II has outstanding durability at high temperature, and its processing is easy. Daelim’s product also offers lower operating cost compared to the competitor’s products; hence the added merit of reducing production cost.
