Daelim Completes Construction of Incheon International Airport H2 Hotel
Rear View of Incheon International Airport H2 Hotel Daelim completed the construction of Incheon International Airport H2 Hotel on July 24, 2014, recording 2.5 million safe man-hours. Located at 190, Yeongjonghaeannam-ro 321 beon-gil, Jung-gu, Incheon, about 800m away from the airport, the hotel has 501 units with 2 floors underground, 11 floors aboveground, and total floor area of 70,547㎡.
The hotel was completed without accidents within 31 months of construction commencement in January 2012. The hotel won the Grand Prize in the architecture field in the construction industry during the 21st Safety Management Awards co-hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and Maeil Business Newspaper in 2013. 5D BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology – with which the materials, manpower, and cost used can be calculated in real time as construction progresses – was applied. The construction site also applied LEED GOLD, US, the Green Building Council’s eco-friendly architecture certification system.
The hotel will be opened under the name Grand Hyatt West Tower on August 20, 2014, and the opening ceremony will be held on September 2, 2014. It is slated to be used as the officially designated hotel for the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.
