Daelim successfully finished the final briefing session for the project on the establishment of Laos environment improvement master plan supported by the Ministry of Environment and KEITI in Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on May 26, 2014. Daelim began the Lao DPR environment business discovery project by forming a consortium together with Sunjin Engineering & Architecture, Taeyoung Engineering & Construction, and Korbi ENC in May 2013.

Consequently, the consortium established plans to expand the waterworks and sewage facilities in 5 promising areas, with total construction size pegged at KRW 270 billion.

The Korean delegation including the Daelim consortium consisted of some 20 people from the Ministry of Environment, headed by KEITI President Kim Yong-joo. Through the Korea-Lao DPR Environmental Cooperation Conference and interviews with major government clients together with the final briefing session for the establishment of the Lao DPR water supply and wastewater improvement master plan, both counties’ agencies agreed to build a close cooperative system on the main pending issues related to the environment.
