Daelim Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony with Oman SRIP Client
- Construction of Oman SRIP (Sohar Refinery Improvement Project) implemented
by Daelim in Oman for the first time kicks off in full swing

Daelim held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Oman Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP) on June 2, 2014 at the Sohar Refinery Plant construction site, with the client, Daelim President Lee Chul-gyun, and Daelim Executive Director Gwon Hyuk-jun in attendance.

SRIP is a project ordered by Oman’s state refinery and petrochemical company, ORPC, and will be undertaken within Sohar Industrial Complex, 230km northwest from Oman’s capital, Muscat. It involves constructing a new plant producing naphtha, gasoline, and diesel by processing crude oil and expanding the existing refinery plant.

As the supervising company, Daelim will implement the project jointly with British Petrofac. The project is undertaken in EPC lump sum turnkey fashion, with Daelim responsible for design/engineering, equipment & materials purchase, construction, and test run. The construction duration is 36 months.
