Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for Gimpo Metropolitan Transit Railway

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Gimpo Metropolitan Transit Railway project won by Daelim was held around Gimpo Han River New Town on March 26, 2014. Public office heads including Gimpo City Mayor Yoo Young-rok and Daelim employees attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

As a project implemented to disperse traffic on the access road to Seoul Metropolitan Area and National Highway 48 in keeping with the development of Han River New Town, the Gimpo Metropolitan Transit Railway construction has total length of 23.63km with 9 stations and 1 car depot slated to be built. Daelim’s Civil Works Business Division will perform the construction of section 3 roadbeds and 2 stations whose length spans 4.33km. The construction of the roadbed is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2017, and that of the other facilities will be finished at the end of 2018 for railway operation.
