Lee Sun-Shin Bridge Named Civil Engineering Structure of the Year

In celebration of Civil Engineers Day held at KOCEA Center on March 28, 2014, Lee Sun-Shin Bridge constructed by Daelim won the Grand Prize in the Competition for Civil Engineering Structure of the Year. The bridge was named most outstanding civil engineering structure in 2013 in recognition of its contribution to the development of domestic civil engineering technology. 

As a monumental long span bridge over the sea whose construction was commenced at the end of 2007 and was completed in April 2013, the Lee Sun-Shin Bridge has total length of 2,260m, and the distance between towers is 1,545m. The bridge is the fourth longest suspension bridge in the world. Daelim plans to penetrate aggressively the overseas special bridge market led by the construction companies of the US, Japan, and Europe through the source technology of the completed Lee Sun-Shin Bridge, a Korean-style suspension bridge.
