Saudi Arabia’s CA/EDC Project Performance Test Successfully Completed
The performance test conducted for 72 hours from January 27 to January 30, 2014 for the SAMAPCO CA/EDC project in Saudi Arabia was completed successfully. This project is the first achievement of the Daelim Construction Business Division, covering EPC to performance test. Through this, Daelim has proven its differentiated technological prowess and business performance competency.
Saudi Arabia’s SAMAPCO CA/EDC Plant can produce 250,000 tons of chlor alkali (CA) and 300,000 tons of ethylene chloride (EDC) annually, the world’s largest capacity for a single plant. The CA products are used in various industries including textile, metal, paper manufacture, battery, detergent, and food industries; the EDC products are used as basic raw material of PVC.
