Daelim’s Philippines Petron RMP-2 Site Sets New Accident-Free Manhours Record

The Philippines Petron RMP-2 Site of Daelim set a new accident-free manhours record at a single construction site of the Daelim Construction Business Division. Specifically, the Philippines Petron site recorded 45 million accident-free manhours on December 24, 2013 beyond 44 million accident-free manhours accomplished by Saudi Arabia’s Kayan PC Project, which had been the highest record. The Petron site actually received a certificate of acknowledgment from the client, Petron, on January 15, 2014.

The record of the Petron site was achieved by some 10,000 workers and site managers on average on a daily basis amid unfavorable subtropical climate conditions including frequent heavy rains and sweltering heat for 16 months from August 24, 2012 to December 24, 2013.

This project was the largest-scale project of the Daelim Construction Business Division, with project cost reaching almost USD 2 billion. The Philippines Petron RMP-2 Site is setting a new accident-free man-hour record of the Construction Business Division under the rigorous safety management of expatriate officers, site director, and safety manager even as of this writing.
