Daelim Added to DJSI World for the First Time

For the first time in its corporate history, Daelim was added to the DJSI (Dow Jones Sustainability Indices) World, which evaluates a firm’s sustainability. According to the evaluation result released on September 12, 2013, four companies including Daelim were newly added to the DJSI World Construction & Engineering sector.

As the world’s first global standard evaluating corporate sustainability, DJSI has been implemented by the US’s Dow Jones and Swiss evaluation agency SAM for 15 years since 1999. The performance of some 2,500 companies listed on the stock markets worldwide is evaluated in the financial, environmental management, and social contribution sectors before the final selection is made.

After Daelim was included in DJSI Korea for the fifth consecutive year since 2009 and was added to DJSI Asia-Pacific for 4 years in a row since 2010, the company was added to the DJSI World for the first time this year as a result of continuously undertaking social responsibility activities. Such information is provided to investment agencies worldwide and is expected to wield positive impact on the investment decisions of global investment agencies (i.e., SRI Fund) that invest in excellent companies in terms of sustainability.
