Daelim Wins Project to Repair and Expand Sulfur Processing Facilities from Kuwait

Daelim received an LOA on the maintenance/repair and expansion of about KRW 570 billion sulfur processing facilities from Kuwait on May 2, 2013. The project was ordered by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC). Daelim will carry out the project in EPC lump sum turnkey mode. Specifically, the company will perform all processes from design, engineering, and construction to test run.

This project is implemented with a plan to increase annual sulfur output from 850,000 tons to 2 million tons by 2015. Construction is performed at an oil refinery located in the largest oil refining industrial complex within Kuwait, Mina Al-Ahmadi, about 35km away south of Kuwait City. Daelim will undertake maintenance/repair and expansion construction of the existing worn-out facilities to process sulfur produced from the oil refiner. The project duration is 36 months.
