Daelim Wins Civil Engineering Structure Awards

Daelim won gold and silver prizes for Cheongpoong Bridge and Ipo Weir, respectively, during the 2013 Civil Engineering Day held by the Korea Society of Civil Engineers at the Construction Center on Friday, March 29, 2013.

As the gold prize winner, Cheongpoong Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing Lake Chungju between Multae-ri and Dohwa-ri in Cheongpoong-myeon, Jecheon City, Chungbuk Province. The bridge earned raves as an optimal bridge harmonized with the splendid natural landscape. On the other hand, Ipo Weir, the silver prize awardee, is a curved-type structure embodying pottery and swan representing Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do Province. The weir is considered the most beautiful among 16 weirs in the 4 largest rivers in Korea.
