Daelim Holds Awards Ceremony for Excellent Partner Firms for 2013

Daelim held an awards ceremony for excellent partner firms for the year 2013 – with its entire top management including Daelim Vice Chairman Kim Yun and representatives of the 57 partner firms selected as Daelim’s excellent partner firms in attendance – at Chosun Hotel on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Daelim selects excellent partner firms each year by assessing performance for the previous year in five fields – construction, plant procurement, material purchase, engineering (design), and safety – to propel win-win growth with the partner firms. Benefits such as exemption from providing contract performance guarantee and preferential right in bids are offered to the selected excellent partner firms.

Daelim operates programs that provide practical assistance to partner firms’ business management, guided by its philosophy that a partner firm’s growth is a boost to Daelim’s competitiveness. The system of paying the subcontract cost in cash and cash equivalent is a typical example. In particular, Daelim’s cash payment ratio of as much as 85% is the highest level in the Korean construction industry.

The company also strives to hand down management know-how by operating a partner firm consulting program dubbed “Financial Consulting System.” This program aids in various business fields, not to mention financial improvement. In December 2012, Daelim received the Land, Transportation, and Maritime Affairs Minister’s Award during the Construction Collaboration Enhancement Awards in recognition of its contribution to win-win management with partner firms. “It is important to secure competitiveness continually between Daelim and our partner firms. We are willing to support partner firms’ self-growth abilities in the future as well,” Daelim Vice Chairman Kim Yun said at the awards ceremony.
